Yucca gloriosa Bright Star is a variegated form of gloriosa. This hardy species is tough and beautiful. Growing from zone 6 and up it prefers full sun and well drained soil. The leaves of Yucca glorisa are wide for a yucca usually 2 inches or so and around 2 to 3 feet long. Yucca gloriosa Bright star has a nice yellow variegated stripe down each side of the leaves with a green center. With age plants will grow a 2 to 4 foot trunk. Flowers are held high above the foliage 4 to 5 feet white brackts of yucca flowers. Plants sold in 4 1/2 inch pots.
