Alocasia zebrine (Reticulata) is a very rare plant seldom seen in the wild.  The foliage is very narrow and sharply arrowhead shaped (hastate shaped). Each leaf is a dark blue green with an odd coloration effect commonly called reticulated. To me the paterns on the foliage remind me of  the reflection of light off of water. The plant has green and brown stripped petioles. One of the unique stories of this plant is that it seems no one knows much about where it came from. Released in the 70s or early 80s by Fantastic Gardens Florida possibly a sport or a mutation and even possibly a new species it shows relations with other Philippine species such as Zebrina and Tigrina.

Plant can grow 3 to 5 feet tall in ideal conditions.

Plants are potted in 4 1/2 inch pots.
