I was given this plant under the name Rhaphidophora celatocaulis and have sold it as such for years. Recently I have been informed it is most likely a Monstera species. I am not sure which species it is yet but it has a very interesting habit. When juvenile the leaves grow flat to the surface it climbs shingling up. The leaves are slightly velvety and a little corrugated. As the plant matures the leaves morph into a much larger looking aroid with larger spade like leaves that have holes and cuts. The leaves also tend to have a very odd sheen to them oddly reflective.
