Xanthosoma sagittifolium a large grower in this group mature plants can reach over 10 feet tall. It is common in Florida where it is almost a weed. It does best in hot humid climates but can get large in northern states usually around 4 to 7 feet tall. Large green leaves with a deep cut between the lobes leaves are hastate and held horizontally. Large yellow to white spath flowers usually late season. Some of the largest plants are grown next to water and leaves can become massize up to 4 feet wide and long. Great for landscapes hardy zone 8 and up.
